DJ Mike McGrath firmly believes that “it’s not just about the records, but how they are played”. One of Mike’s greatest qualities is his instinctive feel for building his sets, which, combined with his ability to read a crowd, his energy behind the decks, and obvious love for what he does, always ensures a full and happy dance floor when he is playing. Mike played his first paid gig way back in 1992 at the legendary Bentley Bar, and began putting on his own parties in 1994 for an extended network of friends. After several years playing underground events, Mike truly turned pro after winning the ITM Big Clubber competition in 2001, which inspired him to co-promote Clean and Serene with Tazman and Jackster, first at The Burdekin, then at Tank. In addition to his own events, Mike holds a weekly residency at The Arthouse and has played at over 100 venues in Sydney playing with just about every top DJ in the city, headling numerous parties and supporting an incredible array of international acts.
