Eon Beats is a Sydney jazz/funk/soul band steaming ahead with lively performances at festivals across the country, and five well-received albums to its name.
Styles: dance floor jazz, super soulful rhythms and futuristic heavyweight funk.
Eon Beats regularly performs with up to eight or nine musicians onstage, featuring Rick Robertson, saxophonist from d.i.g, the very soulful vocals of Evelyn Duprai, the beats of Ian Mussington, gifted guiarist/vocalist Jon Pease, and the ever inventive keyboard wizard Gerard Masters.
Formed to play the Sydney club scene, the band was immediately in demand with numerous residencies at some of Sydney’s leading clubs and live venues, and exploded onto the main stage in the Aquashell at Darling Harbour for the NYE fireworks in 2007. Eon Beats has produced five hot record releases: “Spin” (Creative Vibes, 2000), “The Great Indoors” (Creative Vibes, 2002 – internationally on M10 Records, France, 2003), “See the Light” (Creative Vibes, 2004), “About to Blow” (BBQ Records, 2006) and “Blue Rhythm People” (Inertia, 2007).
Eon Beats recently performed at the launch of Sassy Sundays held at Cruise Bar where Beyonce sat in the front row & enjoyed a 90 minute set from the band. You can read more about Beyonce enjoying Eon Beats HERE
